Renovations are underway at the West Nassau High School football and soccer field, part of more than $1.7 million in athletic facility upgrades approved by the Nassau County School Board Feb. 27.

Verizon currently assists customers in the parking lot of Callahan’s former Burger King. The wireless company will renovate the restaurant into a store. A new Burger King is planned north on U.S. 1 near Tractor Supply.
