Mike Thorn NCR Reporter   FPL representatives delivered meal kits to senior citizens June 18. The Westside Senior Center in Hilliard hosted the event, with Nassau County Council on Aging representatives assisting. The meal kits are in preparation for hurricane season.

Youth from First Baptist Church Hilliard prepare to board the bus for Camp Clarity Monday. The camp in Central, S.C. began Monday and continues through Friday. It is a Christ-exalting, gospel-saturated summer camp that aims to provide a balance of fun and spiritual growth for young people.

West Nassau High School volleyball teammates Kaycie Turner, Gracie Ware, Parker Madden and Skylar Thien present Don Nichols with a donation to the Callahan Masonic Lodge’s Angel Tree program. The team raised funds to help the Masons purchase Christmas gifts for a youth similar in age to them.

Chaz Davis carries the ball for Mercyhurst University against Frostburg State University Sept. 28. Frostburg won 25-24. Davis, a Callahan native, enters his final season of collegiate football this year. He catches the ball for a touchdown during homecoming against Buffalo State University Oct. 5. The Lakers shut out the Bengals 55-0.
