The Veteran Enforcers Motorcycle Association Jax 2025 Remembrance Ride honored Deputy Joshua Moyers Saturday. An overwhelming turnout from chapter riders caused a delay in initial start time. The ride started in Jacksonville and ended in Hilliard. Moyers’ parents, Brenda and Tim Moyers, and fiancée Ivy Carter received plaques for his self-sacrifice for freedom and justice. Moyers was shot during a traffic stop in Callahan and later passed away Sept. 26, 2021. The assault resulted in a five-day manhunt to apprehend his killer. His organs were donated so others could live. After the presentation, the group celebrated Moyers’ 33rd heavenly birthday, which was Aug. 6, at R&R Wings. The family is grateful to the VEMA for its mission to honor those who gave their life in protection of community and country. Nassau County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Cody Snead assisted with the ride.
