NOTICE OF APPLICATION
The Department of Environmental Protection announces receipt of an application for permit from Nassau Management, LLC to construct and operate a septage treatment and land application site. The septage treatment facility will produce Class B biosolids at an annual average rate of approximately 0.00844 million gallons per day (MGD) The Clas B biosolids will be land applied to 77 acres located in the southern portion of the 391 acres that comprise the property. The application fields will be planted in Bahia grass. The proposed project will be located at latitude 30°34' 57" N, longitude 81°53'6" W on Quail Road, 3 miles west of King Road, Callahan, Florida 31011 in Nassau County. The Department has assigned permit file number FLAB07541-001-DW3S to the proposed project.
This application is being processed and is available for public inspection during normal business hours, 8:00 a.m. To 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except legal holidays, at the Department's Northeast District Office, 8800 Baymeadows Way West, Suite 100, Jacksonville, Florida 32256-7590, at phone number (904)256-1700. Any comments or objections should be filed in writing with the Department at this address. Comments or objections should be submitted as soon as possible to ensure that there is adequate time for them to be considered in the Department's decision on the application.
