NOTICE OF FLOODWAY
REVISION
The Town of Callahan, Florida, and Nassau County, Florida, in accordance with National Flood Insurance Program regulation 65.7(b)(1), hereby gives notice of the communities intent to revise the flood hazard information, generally located between State Road 15 (U. S. Highway 1) on the east and the CSX railroad to the west. The flood hazard revisions are being proposed as part of Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) Case No. 21-04-4290P for a project on the north bank of Alligator Creek.
As a result of the revision:
1. The floodway will be revised along Alligator Creek from a point just upstream of State Road 15 to a point approximately 1,670 feet upstream of State Road 15.
2. Base Flood Elevations (BFEs) will increase along Alligator Creek.
3. The SFHA will increase and decrease along Alligator Creek.
Maps and detailed analysis of the revision can be reviewed at the Nassau County Building Department located at 96161 Nassau Place Suite 1, Yulee, Florida 32097, or at the Town of Callahan Town Hall at 542300 U.S. Highway 1, Callahan, Florida 32011. HEARING
The Town of Hilliard Planning and Zoning Board will hold a Public Hearing at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday August 9, 2022, in the Hilliard Town Hall Council Chambers, located at 15859 West County Road 108, to hear input regarding an application for a Variance #20220628, submitted by Bobby Franklin on behalf of B.Y. Franklin Properties.
The Variance is reducing the minimum lot widths from 90 feet to 75 feet and the minimum lot area from 10,000 square feet to 9,375 square feet. The property Tax ID is #08-3N-24-2380-0170-0080, and is described as Block 170, Lots 4 Thru 12, located on West First Avenue between Iowa Street and Minnesota Street. The Variance will allow 3 dwelling units to be constructed on the property.
