NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSIDER ENACTMENT OF ORDINANCE
NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of County Commissioners of Nassau County, Florida, at a meeting to be held on Monday, the 23rd day of March, 2026 at 5:00 P.M., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the Commission Chambers, located at the James S. Page Governmental Complex, 96135 Nassau Place, Yulee, Florida, intends to consider for adoption the following proposed Ordinance:
ORDINANCE NO. 2026-027
AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF NASSAU COUNTY, FLORIDA; AMENDING CHAPTER 4 ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, ARTICLE I. IN GENERAL; SPECIFICALLY AMENDING SECTION 4-9. DRINKING BEER, WINE OR ALCOHOLIC/INTOXICATING BEVERAGE IN PUBLIC PLACES; OPEN CONTAINERS; ALLOWING FOR EXCEPTIONS FOR COUNTY OR JUDICIARY APPROVED FUNCTIONS, EVENTS, OR CELEBRATIONS; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTING PROVISIONS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Copies of the Ordinance are available at the County Managers Office, 96135 Nassau Place, Suite 1, Yulee, Florida 32097 Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. through 5:00 p.m., except legal holidays.
THE PUBLIC IS INVITED TO BE PRESENT AND BE HEARD. In accordance with Florida Statute 286.0105: If any person decides to appeal any decision made of this Board or Committee with respect to any matter considered at this scheduled meeting or hearing, the person will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose the person may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
The Board of County Commissioners may continue hearings on this matter.
