A. Prequalified firms are invited to submit an offer under seal to The Nassau County

School Board for the Boiler and Switch Replacement at Miscellaneous Schools of

Nassau County.

Bidding will be located at The Nassau County School District Facilities Department located at

86334 Goodbread Road, Yulee, FL 32097 before 3:00 pm local daylight time on

THURSDAY, the 13th day of April 2023.

All Bids received at such place, date, and time will be publicly opened and read

aloud. Bids received after such time will be returned to the respective Bidder,

unopened.

B. A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at The Nassau County School District Facilities Department located at 86334 Goodbread Road, Yulee, FL 32097 at 3:30 PM on

FRIDAY, the 31st day of March 2023. All Prequalified Contractors must

attend this Pre-Bid Conference in order to have their Bid considered.

1. Site visits if requested will be coordinated after pre-bid meeting.

C. Project Description:

The project scope includes corrections to boiler deficiencies identified during the

most recent boiler inspection at multiple schools. The following is the scope of

work per school:

1. Emma Love Hardee Elementary School

i. Install new boiler shutdown switch

2. Bryceville Elementary School

i. Install new boiler shutdown switch

3. Yulee Elementary School

i. Install new boiler shutdown switch for two boilers

4. Fernandina Beach Middle School

i. Install new low water protection/controls

ii. Install new valves

5. Hilliard Elementary School

i. Install new boiler shutdown switch for two boilers

6. Callahan Intermediate School

i. Install new boiler shutdown switch for two boilers

7. Southside Elementary School

i. Install new low water protection/controls

8. Callahan Middle School

i. Demolish existing boilers

ii. Extend concrete pads, where needed, to fit new boilers

iii. Install two new 5,331 MBH dual fuel boilers in Building #4

iv. Install 2,020 MBH dual fuel boiler for the Gym (Bldg. #6)

v. Replace all isolation valves and branch hot water piping, fittings, and

insulation

vi. Install all safety devices required by code

vii. Reuse existing pumps

viii. Install new stainless steel flue pipe for each boiler

9. Fernandina Beach High School

i. Demolish existing boilers

ii. Extend concrete pads, where needed, to fit new boilers

iii. Install two natural gas boilers in Building #9  3,075 MBH and 3,969

MBH

iv. Replace all isolation valves and branch hot water piping, fittings, and

insulation

v. Install all safety devices required by code

vi. Reuse existing pumps

vii. Install new stainless steel flue pipe for each boiler

viii. Install new boiler shutdown switch for three boilers

D. Complete and detailed Bidding Documents will be on file and may be examined by
