Council OKs Dunkin’ plans

Anna Newhoff NCR Reporter   Callahan will eventually run on Dunkin’ as the site plan was approved by the Callahan Town Council Monday night. Project developer Kevin Patel presented plans for the property at 542547 U.S. 1.

Firefighters cross state line to help in Georgia

Amanda Bishop NCR Editor & Publisher   Callahan and Hilliard volunteer firefighters and several Georgia fire partners joined Charlton County Fire Rescue and the Georgia Forestry Commission in battling a nearly 600-acre wildfire Feb. 22.

140 years of local worship

Anna Newhoff NCR Reporter   Callahan Methodist Church celebrates 140 years of worship, community, and grace. Throughout the years, the church has had 63 different pastors, with the current one being the Rev. Bodie Riddle, who joined the congregation in 2022.

Standoff ends with suicide
