Deputies with the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office join West Nassau High School Air Force JROTC cadets for the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run in support of Special Olympics Florida. The run was held April 10 near Wildlight.

Take Stock in Children Nassau County hosts its Light Up a Life Gala Thursday at The Ritz Carlton Amelia Island. The annual fundraiser brought in $333,000 that will provide scholarships to Nassau County students who are paired with mentors in the program.

Fundraiser nets $333K

Nassau County 4-H partners with Rockin’ G Rodeo for fundraising and awareness. Youth spent the weekend learning about the rodeo and fundraising. They also watched the show and hosted a learning center and crafts. Submitted

House, brush fires spark

Anna Newhoff NCR Reporter   A home in the Plummer Creek neighborhood was destroyed by a fire Thursday night. A Nassau County Fire Rescue incident report states the fire started at 7:20 p.m. in the garage of Toni and Jason Rogers’ home at 78702 Goldfinch Lane, Yulee.
