Newly appointed Nassau County Court Judge Sarah Bell is sworn in by Florida Fourth Judicial Circuit Chief Judge Lance Day Feb. 2 at the Robert M. Foster Justice Center in Yulee. Bell serves as the county’s second judge, a newly created role to accommodate the county’s continued growth. The Fernandina Beach resident previously served as state assistant attorney general in Jacksonville. She was appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis. Also recently appointed was Nicole Saunders as the new circuit judge for the Fourth Judicial Circuit Court, which covers Nassau, Clay and Duval counties. Saunders is based in Jacksonville, recently serving as an administrate law judge with Florida’s Division of Administrative Hearings.
