For the Record
The Nassau County Commission honored Josh Powell June 18 for 20 years of service with the county.
Hired June 13, 2005, Powell started as a custodian. He’s advanced through various jobs with the county and currently serves as a journeyman facilities technician.
As journeyman facilities technician, Powell performs maintenance and repair of county facilities. Typical duties include general construction, such as hanging sheetrock, painting, and building stairs, digging trenches for plumbing and utilities, pouring concrete for sidewalk construction, and operation of various equipment.
“Josh has always been a technician that we can go to for anything,” county Facilities Manager Tony Lombardi said. “We thank him for all of his hard work and his dedication to the county and its citizens.”
