Demonstrations on how to utilize a car escape tool, information on adequate insurance coverage, a visit from Life Flight, a chili cook-off, flea market, a sand hill for children to play on, a touch-a-truck area, and more delight visitors at the second annual Surviving Your Drive Community Event Saturday at the Northeast Florida Fairgrounds. The event aimed to raise awareness of the importance of not driving distracted or while impaired. The event concluded with a showing of the movie “Footloose.” Surviving Your Drive was created in memory of Bryceville resident Sydney Weiscopf, who died in a vehicle crash April 28, 2024.
