Obituary Policy: The Nassau County Record strives to make this list a complete record of deaths involving Nassau County residents and their families. Please ask your funeral home or cremation society to email or fax us with all death notices. The death notice listings are free and include the deceased’s name, age, date of death, town/city, service date and time and name of funeral home or cremation society handling the arrangements. For a paid detailed obituary, the fee is $30 without a photo and $35 if you would like to include a photo. Please have your funeral home email the information to or fax it to (904) 879-5155, or families may fill out and submit the form below. For both paid obituaries and free funeral notices, proof of death can be a statement from a funeral home on its letterhead stating it is handling arrangements, an invoice from a funeral home, publication in another newspaper or a death certificate. Deadline for death notices and obituaries is 10:00 a.m. Monday. For additional information call (904) 879-2727.

Photos may be included and should be sent in a jpg format at a minimum of 225 dpi resolution. Black and white or color photos can be used, providing the picture is of good quality and not too small.
