NCBC holds tournament
Nassau Christian Bass Club held its first youth tournament March 3.
Twelve young men and women and seven boat captains participated.
“It was a great first showing and I was very pleased with how the tournament turned out,” said R.C. Hodges, club president.
Club members fish in three different divisions, including Tadpole for ages 5-10, Junior for ages 11-14 and Senior for ages 15-18.
Nolan Dortch won the Tadpole Division with two bass weighing in at 4 pounds, 2 ounces. He was also the big fish winner, with a single fish weighing in at 2 pounds, 8 ounces.
Tucker Pickett won the Junior Division. He caught a bag limit of three bass totaling 4 pounds, 8 ounces.
Nicolas Bieker was the winner in the Senior Division, catching one bass weighing in at 1 pound, 2 ounces.
